SNP are putting Westminster on notice: we will bring down Boris Johnson and his dangerous, far-right government.
It is shameful that a Conservative member of Parliament gets up and asks about the money we’re spending to prepare for the impact of a policy that his party is imposing on Scotland against our will.
Boris Johnson shut Parliament unlawfully – he must resign.
“Let’s be blunt about the significance of the ruling. It has found that the PM acted unlawfully in seeking to prorogue Parliament, that he had no good reason for doing so, that in fact it was about evading scrutiny. I think Boris Johnson should resign.”
When the UK government sent its Brexit analysis to the Scottish Government, it was called “base scenario”. When it was publicly released yesterday, the title was changed to “reasonable worst case scenario”.
Scotland’s highest court has ruled that prorogation of Parliament by Boris Johnson was unlawful. Parliament must now be recalled.
Boris Johnson has undermined democracy at every turn – this is a Prime Minister who can not be trusted.
We’re ready for an election, but we will not be played by Boris Johnson. He can’t be trusted – we must stop a catastrophic no-deal Brexit first.
