How are the SNP supporting Scotland’s fishing industry?

Our fishing and seafood sectors are currently suffering the very real price of Brexit. We will continue to support our industry to recover from the Tories’ Brexit betrayal and press for the £62 million of marine funding Scotland is entitled to, to be fully allocated to Scotland.

How will the SNP support Scotland’s farmers?

We remain committed to supporting active farming and food production with direct payments. We will double the amount of land used for organic farming – and double the amount of organic produce that comes from Scotland, with a focus on more of it being used in public sector food procurement.

Why have the Scottish Government banned GM crops?

Scotland is world renowned for its natural, high quality food and drink, and this is greatly promoted both at home and abroad by our reputation for being clean and green. We will maintain our status of GM free cultivation and continue to adhere to EU standards and rules on pesticides and fertilisers.
