Is Scotland safer under the SNP?

The SNP Scottish Government have taken many steps to ensure Scotland is a safe place to live, and Scotland is now safer with recorded crime at a 42 year low. Violent crime in Scotland has reduced by 52 per cent since 2006-07 and homicides are at their lowest level on record.

Crimes of possession of an offensive weapon including knives have fallen 69 per cent since 2006-07 and the number of firearm offences reported in 2014-15 was the lowest total since comparable records began.
