This online event tells you all you need to know
With the general election approaching, it’s important voters know what is needed.
Voters in Scotland need to show photo ID to vote at polling places in some elections.
This applies to UK parliamentary elections, including general elections, by-elections and recall petitions.

What to expect?
- Westminster General Election will take place this year and its also the first time that a Voter ID will be needed. Emma Roddick MSP, minister for Equalities will join this event, hosted by City of Edinburgh Cllr Stuart Doddin, to explain what are the implications of the new legislation and any questions you need help with.
