David Linden
Glasgow Baillieston and Shettleston
Originally from Cranhill, before moving to Garrowhill with his family, David Linden is an East End lad and has been an SNP activist since 2001.
He went to Milncroft Primary School, Garrowhill Primary School and then onto Bannerman High School in Baillieston.
He spent his early working life in the finance sector within the underwriting team at Access Loans & Mortgages, then undertook a qualification in Business Administration, which he completed during his years at Glasgow Credit Union.
David was first elected as Glasgow East’s MP in 2017 and then re-elected with an increased majority in 2019.
He was elected as MSP for Glasgow Baillieston and Shettleston in 2026.
Away from work, David is a season ticket holder for Airdrieonians Football Club and enjoys running, having completed two London marathons.
