Clare Haughey MSP is the Scottish Government’s Minister for Mental Health, and has represented the Rutherglen constituency since her election in 2016.
Born and raised in Rutherglen, Clare is a mental health nurse with over thirty years’ experience. For the past fifteen, she has specialised in perinatal mental health and helped set up Scotland’s first Mother and Baby Unit in Glasgow in 2004 as clinical nurse manager.
Clare was previously a divisional convenor in UNISON.
Clare is married and a mum of three.
