How are the SNP supporting woodland creation?
Forests and woodlands are a natural powerhouse and among Scotland’s most valuable rural assets. The SNP Scottish Government continues to lead the way in woodland creation with more than half of all trees planted in the UK last year being in Scotland.
How are the SNP supporting Scotland’s fishing industry?
The Scottish fishing sector accounts for over 60% of the UK’s fishing capacity and seafood exports. Yet the UK Labour Government has allocated funding of just 7.78% for Scotland’s fishing industry meaning that Scotland is set to lose out by over £100 million.
How is the SNP supporting house-building in rural areas?
The SNP has introduced a range of measures to support house building in rural areas including the Rural Housing Fund and Islands Housing Fund which commits to building new, affordable homes in rural and island Scotland.
