What reform does the SNP plan for the post-pandemic NHS?

Following the unprecedented pressures of the coronavirus pandemic the SNP committed to reforming the current healthcare system to address lossons learned from the pandemic.

The SNP agree that the NHS needs to see reform and improvements in light of those pandemic pressures – including in productivity.

As well as improving NHS services, the work of the Scottish Government must involve radical action on population health, improving health behaviours and ensuring people are empowered to look after their own health.

In particular the SNP are clear that privatisation SHould have no place in reform of NHS Scotland and that Scotland continues to have an NHS that is free at the point of need.

Significant transformation to how our health services operate has never been more urgent and our vision for reform focusses on changes to deliver for Scotland.

And we are committed to giving Scotland’s NHS workforce the voice they deserve.
