Will the SNP ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses?

The Scottish Government has introduced a Bill to ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses.

The use of wild animals in circuses is widely considered to be morally unacceptable in the present day. In fact, a Scottish Government consultation on the issue found that almost 95 per cent of respondents believed that concerns relating to respect for animals could not be resolved without a ban.
