How can the SNP stop NHS privatisation by Westminster?

Scotland faces the real risk that Westminster post-Brexit trade deals with Donald Trump’s United States will open the NHS to multinational US health companies. Only independence can protect our NHS from this threat.

Unlike Keir Starmer’s Labour, Nigel Farage’s Reform UK and the same old Tories, the SNP remains absolutely committed to the founding principles of the NHS.

The SNP will support the NHS within the long established and almost universally and publicly supported principles of a public service free at the point of use and need.

With Keir Starmer’s Labour imitating Tory austerity cuts and chasing Reform voters, the effects of Brexit, and creeping NHS privatisation, it is abundantly clear that only the SNP can safeguard the vital role of the NHS in society and prioritise Scotland’s interests.

The only substantive change which Labour appear to be offering is the change of their own principles.

The SNP rejects the privatisation of the NHS, whether this is Tory privatisation, Labour privatisation or Reform UK privatisation.

The answer to the NHS’s problems will never lie in selling it off to the private sector, the answer lies in stopping Westminster austerity.

People want politicians who are willing to stand up and save the NHS by supporting it, not Westminster politicians who are eyeing up the chance to sell it off to their donors.

The SNP will stand by the founding principles of the NHS, keeping it free at the point of delivery and keeping our health service where it belongs, in public hands.
