Labour cuts are making your life harder
Labour’s decision to introduce a £45 garden waste charge and cut free school bus services for kids put unnecessary financial strain on families, affecting both their household budgets and their children’s access to education.
Along with all South Lanarkshire SNP Councillors, your SNP candidate Katy Loudon voted against Labour’s garden waste charge and school bus cuts.
In stark contrast to Labour, the SNP is committed to ensuring that people receive the support they need by saving you money:
- Free Prescriptions:We continue to make sure that no one in Scotland has to pay for essential medications.
- Free Bus Travel:Including under-22s, those aged 60 and over, to travel for free, reducing the cost of getting out and about.
- Universal Free School Meals for primary school children: A vital step to ease the pressure on family budgets and ensure all children in primary 1 to 5, regardless of their financial circumstances, are getting the nutrition they need.
- Free Childcare:Offering 1,140 hours of free early learning and childcare to families for children aged 3- to 5-year-old, helping working parents save money.
Unlike Labour’s damaging cuts, in Katy Loudon you have an SNP candidate that will always be on Scotland’s side, putting your community first.

Vote SNP by postal vote now or at the ballot box on Thursday 5th June.
