An evening with Iain Lawson

Livingston Central SNP branch is pleased to welcome Iain Lawson on 21 February.

Iain is a former SNP Senior Office Bearer and has held numerous roles within the party including being in charge of the Party’s fundraising and administration and creating the ‘Challenge of the Nineties’. He was extremely active and held roles as the Party’s Trade and Industry, Transport & Steel spokesperson for many years. Iain also co-organised the ‘Stock Scottish’ and ‘Fair Fares’ Campaigns.

More recently, Iain was the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Estonia in Scotland from 2003 until his retirement in November 2018.

Iain’s talk will be a combination of humour and some very useful information about how Estonia used Independence to greatly enhance the living standards of their people. His view is that by copying and improving on some of these methods, Scotland would make a great success of Independence.
