Gillian Martin
Aberdeenshire East
Gillian Martin was brought up in Newburgh, Aberdeenshire and now lives in Newmachar on the other side of the Aberdeenshire constituency with her family. She is the MSP for Aberdeenshire East, and the Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Rural Affairs.
She is a graduate of the University of Glasgow and has worked as a lecturer in further education for 15 years and in tandem ran her own business in video production and training for the energy sector for over 20 years.
She was the manager of an emergency media response team for oil and gas companies for 10 years.
She is the founder of the Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire branches of Women for Independence.
