Biography:
Keith Brown has been a Member of the Scottish Parliament since 2007 and is currently the constituency MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane. He was appointed Minister for Skills and Lifelong Learning in February 2009 and has since held a number of ministerial roles before becoming Minister for Transport and Veterans in September 2012.
Keith joined the SNP in 1984 and has held a number of internal posts at local and national level.
In 1996 Keith was elected to Clackmannanshire Council, becoming SNP Group Leader in 1997. In 1999, Keith led the SNP Group to control of the Council and was Leader of Clackmannanshire Council until 2003.
Born in Edinburgh in 1961, Keith went on to graduate from Dundee University and studied at the University of Prince Edward Island. Keith now lives in Dollar with his three children
