Gordon MacDonald MSP

Biography:

Gordon was previously employed by the local bus company in Edinburgh as an accountant. His career has included employment in local government, the health service, manufacturing and public transport.

Born in Glasgow he was educated at Cumbernauld High School and Glasgow College of Technology; now Glasgow Caledonian University.

Living in the Lothian area with his long term partner and two sons; he has a long association with the Pentlands area having lived in Saughton Mains and Parkhead for a number of years. Previously employed by Burton's biscuits in Sighthill his current employment responsibilities extend to the Longstone area.

He has been an active member of the SNP since 1975. Currently the SNP Regional Treasurer for the Lothian’s and has held the posts of Assistant National Treasurer, Edinburgh SNP City Association Treasurer  and Edinburgh SNP Social Club Treasurer.
