Rob Gibson MSP

Biography:

Rob was elected Highlands & Islands MSP in 2003 and has been a member of the Parliament's Environment & Rural Affairs Committee.

Rob is a historian, musician, author, and traditional music festival organiser.
He was born and educated in Glasgow, and attended Dundee University & Education College and is a former Modern Studies teacher.

He joined the SNP in 1966, was FSN President 1970-3 and has been a member of the SNP's National Council, Executive, and the SNP's Cabinet.

He is a former Policy Vice Convener and has helped shape current party policies on land-use, environment, energy, and health.
