  • MSP for East Kilbride

Biography:

Born in Glasgow in December 1956, Linda was educated at Hyndland Secondary School, Napier College and Glasgow University.

Linda's support for community arts organisations and her enjoyment of the traditional arts in Scotland are mirrored by her enthusiasm for cultural initiatives crossing international borders and her work in promoting Scottish-Italian cultural links was recognised by the Italian government making her a Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella della Solidarieta' Italiana in March 2007.

She was the SNP representative on the Holyrood Progress Group which took the day to day role of client for the building of the Scottish Parliament.
