Applications are invited for this post based at Peter Grant’s constituency office in Glenrothes.
You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of complex casework as well as contributing to my constituency and parliamentary work. Although the post is based in Glenrothes there will be short periods of work in London.
Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record in casework or similar advice services. For the Senior Caseworker post, you must have extensive experience of handling difficult and complex casework. You must be able to demonstrate high standards of integrity and political awareness alongside high performance in some or all of the main duties of the post. A flexible approach to work is essential as the nature of the job means there will be a need for occasional evening and weekend working.
Interviews will be held in Glenrothes on 27th and 28th February and the successful candidate will be expected to take up post by the end of March (or earlier).
This is a temporary post to cover maternity leave. The contract will be for 6 months. The salary will be in the region of £24 – £26k (Senior Caseworker) or £20-22k (Caseworker).
The post is being advertised on a full time basis but applications will be considered from those wishing to work part time (a minimum of three days per week).
