Part-time Constituency Assistant – Deidre Brock MP

Deidre Brock MP is looking for a part-time constituency assistant, Thursdays and Fridays.

Salary in the region of £8,000 per annum (equivalent to £20,000 FTE), duties to include: office duties (phone, mail, door, answering queries from members of the public, helping with office maintenance, etc); assisting with administration tasks; attending meetings and surgeries as required; managing own caseload under direction of senior caseworker; preparing briefings; other duties as required.

You’ll need –

  • Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Good oral communication skills
  • The ability to keep the confidence of constituents and work colleagues
  • Top-class listening skills
  • A desire to get things done
  • Some knowledge of politics would be beneficial
