The SNP are immensely proud of the role arts and culture have played in Scotland's heritage and the continuing contribution they make to the whole of Scottish society. That's why we've taken real action in government since 2007 to help create the conditions in which Scotland's artists have the opportunity to flourish.
Since taking office, the SNP in government has led the way with Homecoming Scotland, the Year of Creative Scotland in 2012, funding the magnificently redesigned National Museum of Scotland, the revamp of the National Portrait Gallery and the V&A in Dundee.
We aim to ensure that everyone in Scotland has the opportunity to benefit from and enjoy our heritage and our thriving arts sector. The SNP will continue to do everything it can to help our cultural sector continue to go from strength to strength.
