Cllr Joanna Strathdee

Joanna grew up on her parents farm in the Huntly area and lives in Huntly with her husband, she has two daughters and two grandchildren. She was one of two Councillors who made the breakthrough in 1999 to be elected to Aberdeenshire Council.

She is current leader of the SNP Group on Aberdeenshire Council, Convener of the Central Licencing Board, Vice Chair of Marr Area Committee and has been a dedicated local Councillor for the area over the years.

Joanna stood for the Westminster Elections in Gordon in 2005 and Aberdeen North in 2010 and has been a dedicated member of several campaign teams, including the 2007 Scottish Parliament Elections which saw the First Minister elected.

Away from Politics Joanna enjoys touring on her Harley Davidson and is passionate about scots music and culture.
