SNP Welcome First Ever London Gathering

SNP MP Pete Wishart has today (Thursday) tabled an EDM welcoming the first ever London Gathering to be held on the 8th and 9th of September. The event will be a unique Scottish festival held on the banks of the Thames.

It will feature top representatives of the Scottish music, literary, fashion, culinary, and retail scenes, as well as a Highland Games, to ensure a truly stylish Scottish experience for all who come to the London Gathering.

Mr Wishart said:

"This event is a truly unique gathering, and with a host of top Scottish celebrities, will be a great way to experience and celebrate Scotland and her contribution to the world. The music stage alone sounds fantastic, with artistes such as Dougie Maclean, Hue and Cry, Laura McGhee and Sandi Thom to name but a few.

"With a literary and whisky theatre, a culinary marquee, fashion, retail and a real Highland Games, guests will be able to experience Scotland on the banks of the Thames.  Visitors to London will have a unique opportunity to see just how much Scotland has to offer.

"The inaugural London Gathering will prove to be a really  special weekend, bursting with activity and talent."
