Biography
Tricia was born and brought up in Fife.
She was first elected to the Scottish Parliament and was awarded the Herald "Politician to Watch" award in 1999.
Tricia was born to a mining family in Cowdenbeath in 1953 and has worked as a Public Affairs Officer for Shelter Scotland from 1992 until her election to the Scottish Parliament in 1999.
In June 2001 she became Shadow Minister for Local Government, a post which she held until September 2005 when she was appointed Shadow Minister for Housing.
