Angela Constance MSP

Biography

Angela is the MSP for Livingtson. Formerly SNP councillor for the Carmondean ward in Livingston, she was re-elected for the third time in 2003 with an increased majority.

She was SNP candidate in Livingston for the 2005 general election with a swing to the SNP from Labour of 1.2%, and stood as the Livingston by-election candidate in September 2005, when she increased the SNP share of the bvote by 11% . She was the SNP Group's spokesperson for children services and lifelong learning on West Lothian Council.

She was born in Blackburn and raised in Addiewell and West Calder. She attended local schools and completed her education at the Universities of Glasgow and Stirling. She lives in West Lothian with her husband and has one child.
