Halloween fright for Labour in Glasgow North East

SNP activists will be out in force across Glasgow North East as the day of the by-election draws closer.

Commenting, Deputy First Minister and SNP Depute Leader Nicola Sturgeon MSP, who will join SNP candidate David Kerr to campaign across the constituency said:

"With less than two weeks to go, SNP activists will be out in force. Last summer, John Mason's victory in Glasgow East created a political earthquake that shook Scottish politics to its core. This Halloween, we are on track to give Labour the fright of their lives.

"Labour have taken this constituency for granted for decades - and the by-election on November 12th is a chance for local people to say enough is enough.

"Figures out this week show that Springburn is turning a corner. Across a range of deprivation indicators, the situation is improving since the SNP came to power. A vote for David Kerr and the SNP is a vote to ensure this recovery continues."
