Members' Section Rejuvenated
It's been a while since we've announced any major changes to the website, but today I'm glad to be able to tell you that the homepage for Members has been given a major facelift today.
The new Member Hub gives you quick links to our key services, a rolling ticker of by-election updates, and a re-organized structure to make it easier for you to find the information you need.

branch membership list
It's important for the branch membership secretary to be able to access new recruits' addresses where they have no email address, to issue a welcoming letter with meeting times, etc.
Can you confirm that you plan to allow for this in the new arrangemenet?
It is currently possible for

The decision was taken in
The decision was taken in the new data policy to restrict information given out about members to just that which is necessary to perform any given task.
For this reason you see telephone numbers only when calling, addresses only when sending letters (when you download a CSV), and email addresses are not show since the system allows you to send emails directly from within my.snp.org.
However we acknowledge that often Office Bearers need to validate the information about a single member, which would make it very useful to see all this information at once, and we are working on changes to facilitate this.
New Members
I have now been a member for some 18 weeks now, and only just received an email from my Branch, some two days ago for the forthcoming Edinburgh West Branch meeting tonight. Although I know this has been a busy period over the prevailing time, a proforma email would have gone a long way to welcome a new memebr into the 'local fold'.

Membership Expiry
Is it possible to provide membership expiry dates to office bearers? Many of our members like to pay their membership money into our branch bank account and we then pay the money onto HQ once a year. However, since the introduction of the new system we no longer know when their memberships are due to expire and so we don't know when to pay the money over now! This is going to cause us a bit of a problem over the coming year therefore it would be great if this functionality could be reintroduced.
Thanks for this feedback, we

Since you can send emails
Since you can send emails from within the system you should not need to see the email addresses of members.
However we do take on board that at times you will want to verify the information there and inform HQ that they are incorrect, and we are working on a system to allow this.
Branch Membership
roundturn I want to contact my local Branch around Loch Ness because I have some local issues. Also the names of Constituency officials ( Inverness) and maybe councillors.
I would have thought I could access this information from the Website but I can't get round it
Best regards
The names of your current
The names of your current Branch Office Bearers are available on my.snp.org. The names of your councillors can be found by putting your postcode in the "In your area" box on the right hand bar of this page.
However I do not believe the names of your constituency office bearers are currently available to you as a member, we will look into a way to provide this.
Changes to members email addresses
Changes to members email addresses
Hi John
Members can update their own details if they log in to my.snp.org and click on the Your Details link in the menu to the left of the screen. To log into my.snp.org members require their membership number and website password. my.snp.org can be accessed from the members hub.
Alternatively, if you have collated a list of changes you can send it to snphq@snp.org.
Changes to members email addresses
Unfortunately human memory is fallible. Members do forget to do things!
I have duly collated a list of changes as you suggested and sent same to HQ. Thanks.
Best wishes
