John Mason welcomes veterans commitment
SNP Candidate for Glasgow East, Cllr John Mason, has today (Thursday) welcomed the publication of a commitment by the Scottish Government to supporting and improving the quality of life for Service personnel, their families and for veterans.
The Scottish Government's paper - Meeting Our Commitment – takes forward proposals within the Ministry of Defence Command Paper in respect of Scotland's devolved responsibilities.
Cllr Mason said:
"Scotland is rightly proud of our veterans and brave Service men and women, and I am delighted that Scottish Government has committed to ensuring that they get the support they need.
"I know veterans in Glasgow East will welcome the Scottish Government's commitment, and I am sure it will make a real and practical improvement to the quality of life for veterans and their families in Glasgow and throughout Scotland."
