The forum 'General Discussion' in the Activate category has now been renamed 'Activate general Discussion', since a lot of users seemed to be getting confused and using it for General Discussion about the SNP, rather than about Activate. Hopefully this change will clear up the confusion.

Equality

The new equality bill which I have just heard on BBC Parliament TV Channel looks set to not increase equality but decrease it. How can it be an Equality Bill if people CAN be discriminated against due to race and gender...

How apt,

A majority of 365.

1 for every day of the year.

We should take this Victory, as the next step on the march to freedom.

It is almost 90yrs since Labour first took the seat in the east end of Glasgow.

At that time. it was a hub of industry from iron works to rope works.

Under labour and tory goverments they have in the last 86 yrs decimated the area, leaving no industries nor replacing the much needed infrastructure .

So, I for one. hope the next 365 days will give the people of Glasgow and all of Scotland fresh hope, and faith in the SNP to keep the momentum going.

a landmark victory for the snp, we had a great candidate in john mason. labour has ruled the east for 60 years and now we have broken labour in glasgow.

congratulations to john mason for taking the glasgow east seat from labour. this is another nail in the coffin for gordon brown, and hopefully its another small step closer for scotland to become free.
