Richard Lochhead urges voters to 'make Moray matter'
Mr Lochhead, pictured here with Kate Johnston and SNP veteran Winnie Ewing, says today's by-election is a two-horse race between the SNP and the Tories.
"Local people need an honest campaigner to fight for the issues that matter to Moray.
"People here know that I have a track record of fighting on a whole range of causes like improving local dentistry, upgrading the A96 and preserving local jobs, and I pledge to carry on this work as the local MSP.
"A vote for the SNP is a vote for an MSP to fight for the things that matter to Moray.
"Only the SNP can take Moray forward, we simply can't afford to go back to the Tories."
Winnie Ewing added:
"I cannot help but reflect on the cause of today's by-election.
"Nobody will be able to fill Margaret's shoes, but Richard can follow her footsteps.
"I know Richard will work as part of a strong local SNP team and with our local MP Angus Robertson. Both of them are hard working politicians who say it the way it is. They are proud to stand for the SNP and for Scotland.
"Let's make today's election a success for Moray and for Scotland."
