Commenting, Mr Salmond said:

"First we had the Tories announcing policies that won't apply in Scotland. Now they tell us they don't have any policies for the next two years.

"The anti-Scottish Tories are fighting the wrong election. They are totally out of touch with the needs of Scotland in this campaign.

"The Tories are a party with a dark past, now trying to live in a fantasy future. The people of Scotland know that Michael Howard and Oliver Letwin have nothing to offer except second-class status for Scotland and serious spending cuts.
