SNP demand answers into Cairngorms National Park

Following reports at the weekend of a stitch up between the Executive and Highland Council regarding the boundaries of the Cairngorms National Park, SNP Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs Mr Fergus Ewing MSP demanded answers from the Executive. He said:

“The Executive is in chaos over plans for the Cairngorms National Park. They spent over a quarter of a million pounds on a report into the boundaries of the Park, then promptly ignored the recommendations, only to come up with their own scheme which has cut off the whole southern area.

“We need to know why public money was wasted on this report and why the boundaries are being redrawn.”
