Councillors
For advice on local issues relating to your Council services please contact your local councillor. Council services include local housing, refuse collections, local services such as schools, leisure and libraries, or social services.
Example: I’m concerned over news reports in the local paper regarding my changes to refuse collections in my area. I live in a block of flats, so storing refuse for 14 days will create a smell and I don’t have access to a car to take rubbish to the dump. What can I do?
Your local councillor will firstly be able to clarify the news reports and find out if the reports are true. The councillor can then make representations to the council regarding the changes and can offer advice in making any changes easy for you.
